About Us

I started bartending back in 1983 with the encouragement and help of my father. After a brief time working part-time I realized that I was not a 'sit-in-a-cubical' kind of guy and and quit my job in the electronics industry. After working as a bartender full-time it didn't take me long to realize that I could find a job anywhere. I hit the road in 1986 and spent more than 10 years traveling and working in bars. From ski resorts in Colorado, to casinos in Lake Tahoe, I found myself in Seattle by 1990. The restaurant business was booming then and I had several different jobs including a brief career as a manager. I returned to New England in 1997 and have managed to work in 7 different states and hold more than 40 jobs as a bartender and/or restaurant manager. By 2002 I realized that a lot of people had been asking me how to get into bartending. I finally decided to take the question seriously and sat down to write a book. The book wasn't enough to really teach someone so I added some video. The result is The Bartending For Profit System. I invite everyone to share in my passion and take advantage of my experience by learning to bartend (and getting a bartending job) with The Bartending For Profit System. Everybody should know how to bartend.

A Little History: The original Bartending For Profit System was completed in the winter of 2003. It consisted of four manuals and three VHS tapes. The training system is based on information included a combination of over two decades of experience, from behind over 50 different bars, with the realistic input from actual positions held by bartenders, bar managers, restaurant managers, beverage managers, general managers and even bar owners. Our goal was to provide a low cost, realistic training system to guide you through the whole process, getting the job, making the drinks and making the money. We succeeded!
Since then we have applied some technology, refined the content and, developed the latest version of The Bartending For Profit System. By converting our original training system to digital media we are now able to provide a faster, more effective and more user-friendly product. The addition of features such as the personal Training Guide, Exclusive Access to bartendingforprofit.com and *Unlimited Q&A* have allowed us to exceed our original expectations. June 2006.
